ARIES – The Zodiac Series #4

ARIES – the fourth book in our ‘Zodiac Series’ – is launching this weekend.

The Zodiac Series is a collection of twelve anthologies, each focusing on a particular Zodiac sign. We have asked for speculative fiction short stories and poems inspired by each of the signs, and have received some wonderful submissions from authors all over Australia and New Zealand.

Each anthology features an introductory poem by Zoey Xolton and a foreword by Sasha Hanton, introducing the sign and the mythology behind it. From there, ‘The Arietis Showdown’ transports you into an action-packed sci-fi retelling of the Greek myth behind the sign. There are several great sci-fi pieces, such as ‘Made’ by Zena Shapter, ‘Four Hours of Instability’ by Aiki Flinthart and ‘These Electric Sheep Need Electric Grass’ by Brianna Bullen – all exciting and talented authors that everyone should be taking note of.

The dark and historical fantasy pieces ‘The Subjugation of Rama’ (Jenna Whittaker), ‘Witchfinder’s Lover’ (Stephen Herczeg) and ‘Your Death I do Fortell’ (Nikky Lee) are gritty and compelling. A.G. Jones and BG Hilton provide some levity with ‘Non-Human Resources’ and ‘Night Train to Colchis’ – a different take on the story of Jason and the Argonauts.

If that wasn’t enough, there are also poems and some heart-warming and heart-wrenching stories by Sam M. Phillips, Emilie Morscheck, Rohsaan McInnes, Lisa Rodrigues and the continuation of Helena McAuley’s ‘This is the Dawning’ series. ARIES absolutely has something for everyone.

It’s a wonderful collection of dark and twisted tales, so make sure you have a look at it here. It could be the perfect gift for the Aries who has everything.

Every month we plan on releasing another anthology in the Zodiac series, with the next collection focusing on Taurus. We are currently accepting submissions for several upcoming Zodiac anthologies, so if you’re interested in being part of this series, check out our submissions page.

Thank you for supporting local authors, and for taking the time to read this post.
